Forklift Recovery
Project Summary
To complete an emergency forklift recovery within the warehouse of a large distribution company.

A client called us late in the afternoon with an emergency, two of their forklifts collided, with one tipped over on to the storage racking in the main warehouse. The racking was also connected to the main sprinkler system, which meant that if this racking went over, the entire sprinkler system would have been triggered, ruining everything within the warehouse.
Snook’s Lifting and Engineering Ltd responded to the call immediately, arriving on site within 30 minutes. The project and all potential risks were assessed, with a complete set of RAMs written immediately. Once a solution had been found, equipment and personnel followed, with us ready to work and begin recovery of the forklift within 3 hours of the initial phone call.
Within 4 hours from the initial enquiry, the forklift was fully recovered, with no additional damage to the racking or stock. The forklift was also still fully operational and the client was able to return the warehouse to full functionality by the following morning.
