Houseboat Lift
Project Summary
To lift a domestic houseboat into the Canal from being on shore on a flood plane.
A client approached us asking for our help to lift their lifelong dream, their houseboat, in to the Canal. They had built their houseboat on a flood plane that had not flooded for over 10 years. This meant that due to the lack of flooding, their home was not in the canal as desired.
Snook’s Lifting and Engineering Ltd came up with a plan and strategy to lift their houseboat in to the canal, ensuring that the greatest of care was taken, considering that this was their home and where they were living at the time.
By the end of the day, our client was over the moon to finally find their houseboat in the canal. We made sure that everything within their home and on the outside was intact and just as they had left it. They threw a “boat warming” party and were ready to set sail up the canal the next day.
